Eye fatigue, dark circles, redness, itchiness, swollen eyelids... These are problems many of us have. They can be related to an excessive exposure to electronic screens, causing eye strain. We cannot avoid computers, but we can do everything we can to help our eyes, with nature as our biggest ally. Don’t forget – nature heals.
Eye fatigue Eyewort (Euphrasia officinalis) is used as a specialised cure for certain eye conditions such as eye infections, eye fatigue, and eye watering all around the world. Eyewort infusions can help. Pour 100 ml of boiled water over 1 teaspoon of eyewort. Cover and leave for one to maximum two minutes. Filter using a sterile gauze. Use this infusion to wash your eyes three to four times a day, always in the morning and in the evening. Always prepare a fresh infusion.

Dark circles Linden tea compresses help diminish them. Make linden tea. Lay down comfortably stretched out and place warm (but not too hot) compresses on your eyes for about 15 minutes. Afterwards, apply NiKEL Eye Cream with Chestnut, which contains plants which draw out excess water around the eyes and soften the contours of dark circles.

Itchy and “grainy” eyelids are a sign of a lack of vitamin B2. To prevent and treat this condition, nutritionists recommend food rich in B-complex vitamins (brewer’s yeast, nuts, eggs, fish). To keep your eyes healthy, eat a lot of parsley because it is rich in vitamins A and C and contains significant amounts of vitamin B, calcium, iron, phosphorous, manganese, and potassium.

When it comes to supplements, blueberry extract, natural beta-carotene, B-complex vitamins, and vitamin C are recommended.
