Caution! Seeds can cause miscarriage. Parsley essential oil is rich in the glycoside apiin. Parsley seed is the richest in the glycoside apin. According to its pharmacological action, apiin belongs to abortions and emanagogues. Taken in larger quantities, it causes increased uterine contractions during pregnancy. Renal patients should avoid parsley root and seeds in larger quantities because of the glycoside apin.
