Make March the month of healthy habits to reduce cellulite.

If you have been following the NiKEL Beauty and Health Calendar, you already made the first three steps in January (detox, staying active, and a glass of water with lemon), and you added exfoliation and masks to your usual home beauty rituals in February. When adopting new habits, it is important to take it slowly, one step at a time. As it always turns out, it’s better to take a few small but significant steps rather than one big step. And, of course, to keep at it. March can be the month in which you will strike three powerful blows against cellulite.

Step 1: Hypotoxic Diet

Unlike weight-loss diets, the main goal of this diet is to eliminate harmful substances from the body. You already know that not even the strictest weight-loss diet will help reduce cellulite. Therefore, we need to find a way to prevent harmful substances from remaining inside the body. The body cleanses itself by eliminating harmful substances through the kidneys, stool, and skin (increase the amount of urine, prevent constipation, activate sweating). Hypotoxic diet is not a magic formula; it is a set of habits which will promote the elimination of harmful substances from the body.

Step 2: Fluid Intake

People often wonder why it is important to drink plenty of liquids and find it illogical since the buildup of excess fluids is the very definition of cellulite. Why drink liquids when an excess of them is the problem? The answer is simple – the more liquid we drink, the more of it we secrete, together with harmful substances in the body. The body cleanses itself and eliminates harmful substances through the kidneys as well. It is quite simple – by increasing the amount of urine, we stimulate cleansing of the body. You can drink herbal and other teas, especially those containing dandelion and nettle, which help contribute to the cleansing of the body. Of course, a glass of water with lemon – the ritual you adopted in January – helps as well.

Step 3: Sticking to the Routine

If you decided to put in the effort and took the first and the second step, as well as use a NiKEL anti-cellulite product of your choice, you are probably wondering when you can expect to see the results? You might not like the answer, but we won’t lie. There is no magic solution or potion. The most magical and important factor is sticking to the routine. This means: regularly apply (every morning and evening) an anti-cellulite cream onto the affected areas for at least two months. Massage even if the product says massaging is not necessary. This will warm up the skin, improve surface circulation, and increase oxygen supply. Exfoliate the skin affected by cellulite once a week. Luckily, regular exfoliation is a habit you already adopted in February. Removing dead skin cells from the skin’s surface will enable the active ingredients to more easily penetrate to the deep layers of the skin.
