NiKEL Beauty Calendar: February

Your action plan for February – let exfoliation become a habit!

30.01.2020

You probably already realised that instead of making those big and sometimes difficult and unrealistic decisions, it is easier to introduce a few small changes into your life. In the January edition of our NiKEL Beauty and Health Calendar, we suggested you start with three small things – a glass of water with lemon on an empty stomach, detoxifying, and being active every day. If you were consistent and stuck to the plan, we are sure you already feel better and that you are ready for the next batch of healthy habits.

Form a Habit in 21 Days

It will perhaps feel easier if you remember that habits are learned patterns of behaviour formed by repeating certain actions, feelings and thoughts. Once they are formed, they no longer require willpower or a conscious intention to behave that way. Experts say that it takes 21 days of repeating something to turn it into a habit. That is why our NiKEL Beauty and Health Calendar is designed to suggest three small things that you can do for yourself each month in order to turn them into a habit. Doesn’t that sound great?

So, what’s the action plan for February? Let February be a month in which you will adopt only one, but really important habit – exfoliating your face and body. However, we want to be consistent and stick to the plan of recommending three habits a month, but we also don’t want to overdo it since February is the shortest month of the year. For this reason, we divided exfoliation into three areas – hands, elbows and feet.

Heel and Foot Exfoliation

To re-energise, soothe and relax your feet, try our Heel and Foot Repair Balm with Shea Butter. This product deeply hydrates and regenerates the skin and works on removing dead skin cells (thick skin on heels and feet). It is also suitable for sensitive skin, can be used by diabetics and absorbs instantly. Massaging your feet with this balm will leave your toes feeling re-energised, soothed and relaxed. Use this rich balm to also massage your shins, which are often prone to dryness. You can also use it to nourish your elbows and make them soft and smooth.

Hand Exfoliation

To make your hands soft again and keep them hydrated, it is also a good idea to exfoliate the skin on your hands. Our Mild Exfoliant with Olive Tree is a gentle exfoliant with olive pit microparticles and is suitable for even the most sensitive skin. It removes dead skin cells and stimulates skin regeneration. After exfoliation, apply our Hand Cream with Panthenol. It has a pleasant, creamy texture and a high concentration of panthenol that not only hydrates the skin, but also has a regenerative effect on skin damage, helping heal cracked skin, cuts and wounds. Repeated application will lighten hyperpigmentation spots and prevent them from appearing. It also strengthens nails. This cream protects the skin from premature aging, absorbs instantly and does not leave a greasy residue. Our Hyaluron+B+E Vitamin Hand Cream is rich in natural sunflower and almond seed oil as well as virgin olive oil, and it intensely regenerates lipids in the skin and protects it from irritation. Shea butter and panthenol (vitamin B5) regenerate the hydrolipidic layer of the skin, hyaluronic acid provides hydration to the skin, while vitamin E has an antioxidant and anti-aging effect. A rick texture that quickly and fully absorbs into the skin, without leaving a greasy residue, provides the skin with complete protection, hydration and nourishment.

Elbow Exfoliation

Soak your elbows for 10 minutes in lukewarm camomile tea every day. Then thoroughly scrub them with a rough towel and rub the juice of half a lemon into the skin. Once dry, rub in a teaspoon of olive oil. After just one week, the skin on your elbows will become gentle and velvety soft. Continue to care for your elbows using our NiKEL Heel and Foot Repair Balm.
