Mild oils for dry skin

In case of sensitive, dehydrated skin it is most important to restore the hydro-lipid barrier of skin cells. It will be best achieved by nourishment with natural cold-pressed herbal oils containing a lot of unsaturated fatty acids

Sensitive skin is characterized by insufficient production of own fats, which makes it dry, thin, unpleasantly tight, prone to redness, scaling and capillary dilation. Use of drying soap and aggressive irritating creams will lead to lack of fats in skin. A consequence is lack of moisture or skin dehydration. Loss of oil production in skin leads to damage of cell lipid barrier, which protects our skin from wind, dry air and sun. Without the oily protective layer, skin becomes sensitive. The most important structural elements of the natural protective barrier of the skin are phospholipids – complex organic compounds similar to fats. Arranged like roof tiles (in lamellar form), they act as a barrier. Disturbed natural protection. Detergents and solvents in skin care products can disturb that natural barrier. This barrier is mostly destroyed in dry, cracked skin, which leads to high moisture loss. Loss of moisture from deeper skin layers particularly affects cell function. It is therefore very important to restore the lipid barrier of skin cells in sensitive, dehydrated skin. The best cleansing agent for sensitive skin is cold-pressed oil, rich in fatty acids, in order to restore the disturbed balance of lipids. Sweet almond, jojoba and passionflower oils are similar to skin constituent - sebum. If you clean the face with natural oily purifiers that contain natural essential oils, you will not remove the protective skin layer and your face will be deeply cleansed from dust and makeup. Most important, you will help normalize sebum secretion without disturbing the skin hydrolipid protective barrier. The tonic used must be mild, without excessive supplements and alcohol-free. For facial care, use creams for sensitive skin. These are mild soothing creams – their composition includes substances that reduce the risk of irritation. When eliminating sensitive skin dryness, care should be paid to product composition and, most importantly, deep layers should be affected. Before application of cream, apply a few drops of a mixture of natural oils (jojoba, St. John's wort, almond, hazelnut, soy...) and essential oils - mandarin, lavender... to accelerate regeneration of hydrolipid skin barrier and allow penetration of active substances from your cream to the deepest skin layers.
