The use of face and hand cream, as well as lip balm, has become a common and everyday habit for many, essential care regardless of age or gender. This was demonstrated by a study conducted by the Ja Trgovac portal on a nationally representative sample of citizens of the Republic of Croatia aged 16 and over in November 2020. What is interesting, commendable, and positive is the fact that there has been an increase in all three categories compared to a similar study conducted in 2015. It seems that Croatians are increasingly taking care of themselves. Of the three product categories mentioned, the majority of Croatians still use hand cream, with 78.3% of citizens using it, which is 7.3% more than in 2015. In second place is face cream, with no significant changes compared to the study conducted five years earlier. According to the latest research, 61.3% of citizens use face cream, which is 2.3% more than in the previous study. The largest increase was recorded in the category of lip balms, used by 55.8% of citizens, which is 14.8% more than five years ago.

There has been an increase in the regular use of these products in all three categories, which is one of the fundamental assumptions of the effectiveness of any product.
